About 200 people assembled in Vienna’s city centre on 21 March to show their outrage against the Israel’s break of ceasefire. Already in the first few days, the Zionist terrorists slaughtered several hundred people, the majority of them women and children.
The rally was organized by the Palestinian Community of Austria. Several speakers addressed the rally, including Michael Pröbsting, International Secretary of the RCIT.
In his speech, Michael said that the ongoing genocide reveals once more the nature of the settler state which has waged one war after the other since its foundation in 1948, resulting in the killing and expulsion of the native Palestinian population.
He emphasised that there can be no peace and no justice in the Middle East as long as this Apartheid state continues to exist.
The only solution is a single state from the rive to the sea in which Palestinians and Jews can live peacefully together. Furthermore, Michael denounced the complicity of European governments in Israel’s genocide and the lack of support by Arab regimes for Palestine. He said that the Palestinian people need aid and arms to survive and to defend their homeland.
