In a startling revelation that has rippled through diplomatic circles, United Nations representative Mohamad Safa announced his resignation, claiming the UN is secretly preparing for the possible use of nuclear weapons in Iran, according to NDTV.
Safa, who served as the chief representative of the Patriotic Vision Association (PVA), an international organization with consultative status at the UN, made his announcement in a post on X, sharing both a public statement and a heartfelt resignation letter. The move, he said, came “after much reflection” and a refusal to remain silent in the face of what he described as “a crime against humanity.”
“I don’t think people understand the gravity of the situation,” Safa wrote. “The UN is preparing for possible nuclear weapon use in Iran.” His message was accompanied by a photo of Tehran. “This is not a desert. This is a city of nearly 10 million people families, children, working people with dreams. To think of bombing it is sick,” he wrote.
Safa said he could no longer serve in good conscience. “I gave up my diplomatic career to leak this information,” he declared, adding that he had suspended his duties “to prevent a nuclear winter before it’s too late.”
In his letter, Safa accused powerful lobbying interests within the UN of influencing decisions and silencing dissent. He said he had been censored, abandoned, and even received death threats after voicing his criticism of Western involvement in Middle Eastern wars.
Safa also linked his resignation to the broader political climate, referring to mass protests in the United States a day earlier, where millions reportedly demonstrated under the slogan “No Kings.” He urged citizens everywhere to rise up peacefully and demand accountability. “Act now. Spread this message worldwide. Only the people can stop it. History will remember us,” he wrote.
The United Nations has not commented on Safa’s claims. However, his resignation has sparked fresh questions about transparency within the organization and fears that the world may be moving closer to the nuclear brink than most realize.
