At least four Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip, according to local health officials, despite a ceasefire that has been in place since last October, according to Al Jazeera News.
Medics reported that one person died in an airstrike near the central village of al-Mughraq. Two others were killed by gunfire and shelling near Gaza City. In the south, a 40-year-old woman was shot dead in Khan Younis. The latest violence adds to growing concerns that the ceasefire is being repeatedly violated on the ground.
Witnesses and reporters in Gaza describe a tense and dangerous reality. Israeli forces are continuing to move deeper into parts of western Gaza, while expanding areas under their control. In Gaza City, three people were reportedly shot by a drone near a key junction close to the Netzarim Corridor, which separates northern and southern Gaza.
Residents say the situation has become increasingly restrictive. Areas marked by Israeli forces are steadily expanding, limiting movement and raising the risk of being shot for those who cross invisible lines. Large parts of eastern Gaza are now under Israeli military control, while displaced civilians are crowded into smaller western areas.
At the same time, daily life remains extremely difficult. Shortages of food and medicine continue due to restrictions on aid entering the territory. Health workers say essential treatments for chronic illnesses like cancer and diabetes are often unavailable. Although the ceasefire initially promised the entry of hundreds of aid trucks each day, far fewer have been allowed in, leaving many families struggling to survive.
According to Gaza’s health authorities, at least 800 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire began. Since the war started in October 2023, the death toll has risen to more than 72,500, most of them civilians.
While Israel says it has targeted armed fighters during this period, the continued violence and worsening humanitarian conditions highlight the fragile nature of the ceasefire and the heavy toll on civilians.
