Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, on Wednesday, slammed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan for his policies and said he was responsible for the current wave of terrorism and economic crises in the country.
“Imran Khan brought terrorists back to Pakistan from Afghanistan,” Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said while speaking in the National Assembly.
“A prime minister was brought upon us who automatically pardoned terrorists whose hands were stained with the blood of the People of Pakistan. If today Pakistan is facing terrorism, it is all because of selected prime ministers,” Bilawal said.
“This incompetent prime minister picked up terrorists from Afghanistan and resettled them in Pakistan,” Referring to Imran Khan, Bilawal added.
Foreign Minister said that the people of the merged areas of erstwhile Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) regions had made immeasurable sacrifices for the country’s overall peace and for eradicating terrorism.
“Unfortunately, the terrorism eliminated due to sacrifices of the Pakistan army, police and the common people has been haunting back due to poor policies of by Imran Khan during his three and half years in rule”, he said.
He asked the Prime Minister to take action and bring legal charges against the individual responsible for the constitutional and statutory violations.
Moreover, former Prime Minster Imran Khan has been slapped with dozens of charges, including some in which he faces arrest since his removal from power last year.
The cases against Imran Khan include charges of corruption, terrorism, contempt of courts, rioting and even blasphemy.
Khan also faces “terrorism” charges over a speech against his political opponents and police and judicial officials. In his speech, he named a female judge who had ordered the arrest of one of his close aides.
The statement against the judge led to a “terrorism” charge against Khan.
In addition, Imran Khan recently advocated for the Taliban’s recognition in an interview with Britain’s Channel 4 News, urging the world to recognize them before asking for human rights.__Khaama.com
