China has once again urged its citizens in Iran to leave the country as soon as possible, warning that the security situation remains unstable and unpredictable, according to Anadolu. The renewed advisory comes in the wake of ongoing tensions following military strikes carried out by the United States and Israel.
In a statement released on Thursday, the Chinese Embassy in Tehran, along with Chinese consulates across Iran, stressed that although parts of Iranian airspace have recently reopened, the broader regional environment is still fragile. Officials described the situation as “complex and volatile,” urging citizens to act with caution.
Chinese nationals were advised to avoid sensitive locations, including government buildings and military facilities, which could become targets or flashpoints in the conflict. The statement strongly encouraged citizens to leave Iran at the earliest opportunity and move to safer areas while travel options remain available.
For those who remain in the country, authorities emphasized the importance of staying alert and maintaining close contact with local emergency services. Citizens were also urged to seek assistance from Chinese diplomatic missions if needed. However, the advisory included a stark warning: individuals who choose to travel to Iran despite the risks may face serious dangers and could have limited access to consular support in times of crisis.
This is not the first such warning. Chinese authorities had issued a similar notice on February 27, just one day before the outbreak of hostilities triggered by U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran. The repetition of the message reflects growing concern in Beijing about the safety of its citizens abroad.
The situation in the region remains tense, with no clear sign of immediate stability. China’s latest advisory highlights the uncertainty facing foreign nationals in Iran and underscores the urgent need for caution as the conflict continues to unfold.
