Srinagar, Nov 15: Greater Kashmir news report: Over thirty persons were killed and several others injured when a bus they were traveling in plunged into a gorge in the Assar area of mountainous Doda region of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, officials said.
Talking to our Doda correspondent, DC Doda Harvinder Singh said that over thirty persons have been confirmed dead in the tragic mishap. “I am at the spot. Over 30 bodies have been removed from the accident spot,” he told Greater Kashmir.
The accident took place after a bus, bearing registration number JK 02CN-6555, with over 50 passengers plunged into a gorge.
Soon after the accident, locals and authorities started a rescue operation and shifted the injured to the nearest health facility.
