The Nation.com reports on Tuesday: While alleging pre-poll rigging in AJK elections, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders on Tuesday refused to accept the election results.
During a presser in Muzaffarabad on Tuesday, the leaders of PML-N alleged that the elections had been unfair, as the votes have been stolen. The party leaders went to to say that it unfortunate that the electoral process is in the hands of the state.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi stated that the traditions and the political environment of AJK is being attacked through rigging, and it is unfair that attempts are being made to bring people to power with money.
He went to say that “We reject this election and consider it a robbery on the rights of Kashmir.”
The party leaders further stated that it is impossible to change the status of Kashmir while having a “dummy prime minister”.
They furthered their argument by stating that “how can a non-representative government would take the Kashmir cause forward.”
The party leaders concluded by saying that it would be a violation of the United Nation’s resolutions, if Kashmir’s status would be changed into a province.__The Nation
