LINZ: During a Schengen check in a railjet from Vienna to Linz, police officers caught a 32-year-old Pakistani who allegedly committed double murder in his homeland. He was taken into extradition.
On Tuesday at 9 clock, police officers of the police station Linz Central Station conducted in a passenger train from Vienna to Linz in the area St. Pölten, Visa checking. In the course of their checking, a 32-year-old, together with six other persons, was questioned for a brief identity checking. All seven said they were from Pakistan and did not have a legal document for entry or residence.
Due to their illegal stay, the people were arrested, taken to the police station Linz-Main rawaly station for a thorough search and interviewed for their data.
The inquiries revealed that the 32-year-old had an Interpol warrant from Pakistan. After contact with the State Office of Criminal Investigation Upper Austria and the Federal Criminal Police Office, it also revealed that the 32-year-old is wanted for double murder in Pakistan.
Arrested in prisons
By order of the prosecutor of St. Pölten, the Pakistani was arrested for extradition to the Linz Prison.__Krone.at
