GILGIT: Gilgit Baltistan Anti-terrorism Court has issued unbailable arrest warrant of Molana Hafiz Sultan Raise Chairman Awami Action Committee. The ATC Judge Raja shahbaz released the orders today.
Chairman Awami Action Committee Hafiz Sultan Raise had been arrested some years ago when he called shut down protest in Gilgit city.
He and other members of Awami Action Committee are facing such kinds of cases in a row. Government has registered many FIRs against them and tried to keep them under pressure.
Awami Action Committee is actively raising the suppressed voice of people of Gilgit Baltistan. It has protected the basic rights (subsidies on food items) and has mobilised peoples against unconstitutional measures of Government quite a few time. AAC GB is now working to start a big move for constitutional rights for the region.
Civil society, political activists, law forums and youth organisation has strongly condemned the illegal charges against the political activists.
Many political and youth activists are also facing similar problems from the Government, which has put their names in 4th schedule. Their CINC (Computerized National Identity Cards) and bank accounts have been blocked, they free movement is restricted and legally they are not allowed to engaged in any business or employment which is a grave violation of fundamental human right.
