GILGIT: Awami Action Committee Gilgit Baltistan strongly condemned the torching of 14 schools. AAC protested against the recent attacks of militants on schools in Diamar District. AAC Gilgit Baltistan hold a peaceful rally from chief court Gilgit to Gilgit press club.

Thousands of people including civil society members, political activists, business community,lawyers and numbers of students participated in this awami rally.

The protesters holding banners were chanting against the extremist mind set and terrorists, they said, people of Gilgit Baltistan will never allow terrorists to destroy the peace of Gilgit Baltistan, and militants will fail to impose their agenda against education. Pepole of Gilgit Baltistan are united and they will fight against terrorism.

Hafiz Sultan Raees, chairman Awami Action Committee GB was leading today’s protest. He, with is other members have played active role to maintain peace and harmony in Gilgit, due to day and night efforts of AAC GB sectarian conflicts have been sloved.

After the Diamar incident of torching schools GB Government is strongly criticised by public. Chief Minister GB always claim that the peaceful environment of Gilgit Baltistan is the result of action taken by their government. Diamar attack has become big challeng for GB government to save its face and to proof their performance.
